I had taken my last Interrail tour decades ago. I had almost forgotten about this magic carpet ticket. Then in 2012 everything changed. The Eurail Group had taken over managing the Interrail tickets from the UIC and was celebrating 40  years of Interrail. The well-known German reporter Ingo Senft-Werner contacted me for an interview about my legendary world record tour with an Interrail ticket. His story was run on DPA and then the events kept rolling. First I was invited to the annual Interrail-Stammtisch organized bei DIE BAHN. A TV Team did a coverage of the event and several reporters ran interviews with the participants of the event. A great bunch of Interrail enthusiasts!
